Minnesota Inboard, Minnesota’s exclusive Malibu dealer, will find a new home this fall. But you won’t have to travel far to find them – only about 700 feet to the west.
After 20 years at their present location, Joe and Pam Mueller will move their dealership to their new building which will be located at 712 Galipin Lake Road, Excelsior. They don’t have an exact move-in date but it’s expected to be sometime early this fall.
Joe Mueller, and his wife, Pam, opened Minnesota Inboard in Excelsior in January 1992. Since 1992, the company has grown to include sons Matt and Rob, along with their daughter, Sara. Since opening, sales at their dealership has more than tripled making them the number one dealer of direct drive inboard boats in the Midwest and the number two Malibu dealership in the United States.
In the spring of 2006, the Muellers opened their second dealership in Baxter, Minnesota, to serve the Brainerd Lakes area providing northern lakes residents a great selection of top quality direct drive inboard boats and the outstanding service to support them.
Housed in a separate building in New Germany, their service department is an integral part of their business. The Brainerd Lakes location also includes a complete service department that works closely with New Germany. Since 1992, the number of service technicians has grown from one to six. The knowledgeable technical staff specializes in inboard boats, able to handle light fiberglass and mechanical work.
“We don’t service jet skis, snowmobiles, outboards, or runabouts”, says Joe Mueller, “We’re an inboard-only shop. That way, our customers know they’ll always get their boat serviced by technicians specializing in what we sell. They’ll get their repairs done efficiently with a quick turn-around, even in the midst of the busy summer season. On average, our customers get their boats back in a week or less.”
Minnesota Inboard has been a Malibu top ten dealer in national sales for 17 straight years and have taken home an award for exceptional customer service for the past 13 years. To add to the dealership’s success, Matt Mueller has been awarded six straight Midwest Regional Salesperson of the Year awards and received the award for national salesmanship in 2011.
